Pre-Term Labor Symptoms
Premature labor can occur at or before 36 weeks of pregnancy. Labor may be delayed if you know the signs of early labor and report them to your physician. If you notice any of these signs, please call your physician right away or you may call our Labor & Delivery department and talk to one of our nurses.
Warning Signs of Premature Labor May Include:
Frequent contractions--four or more in one hour
Increased pelvic pressure
Increased vaginal discharge
Diarrhea
Backache
Menstrual-like cramps
Vaginal bleeding
Gush or trickle of fluid from vagina (rupture of membranes)
You should also notify your physician if you experience high fever or painful urination.
