The St. John Center for Women’s Health Newborn Nursery will be your baby’s first home. With that in mind, we focus on family centered care for your new little bundle of joy. Our exceptional nurses and staff will prepare you for what to expect with your new baby while in the hospital and when you go home. We focus on meeting the needs of your new family and ensuring a healthy start to life for your new baby. Rest assured that your baby is in the care of the highest trained nurses and staff around, whether you choose to keep your baby in the room with you all the time, or desire some much needed rest after your delivery and utilize our Nursery.
A feature unique to St. John is the Special Care Nursery, adjacent to our Newborn Nursery for those babies who might need additional medical treatment but do not require the
Neonatal Intensive Care unit. Our Special Care Nursery is staffed with nurses who have specialized training in caring for babies who need extra care. And because it is located adjacent to the Newborn Nursery, mom and the rest of the family will be near, making it easier for new parents to stay with their babies and be part of their care team.
